Online lottery means a system created to permit players to purchase lottery tickets generated by the computer or online machine at the lottery terminal where the information about the sale of a ticket and the players’ choice of any number or combination of numbers is simultaneously registered with computer server.

No. If any person acts as agent or promoter or trader in any lottery organised, conducted or promoted in contravention of the provision of the Central Lotteries (Regulation) Act 1998 or sells, distributes, or purchases the ticket of such lottery, he shall be punishable with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to two years or with fine or both.
